A $3.4 million settlement has been ordered in the class action lawsuit entitled Torres, et al. v. Wendy’s International LLC, aka Wendy’s Data Breach Class Action Settlement

Wendy’s Data Breach Settlement

Class members in the case claim that Wendy’s failed to protect consumers from a data breach caused by malware discovered on the fast food restaurant’s payment systems at certain franchise locations.

The malware was claimed to have comprised personal customer data sch as name, card number, expiration date, security and services codes as well as other payment-related details.

Jonathan Torres filed Torres, et al. v. Wendy’s International LLC, in February 2016.

Who should file a claim?

Anyone in the U.S. who used a credit card, debit card, or other type of payment card at specified Wendy’s restaurants between Oct 25, 2015, and Jun. 28, 2016, and had their personal information compromised in the Wendy’s data breach.
