A mind-blowing 2.5 million dollar settlement has been reached in The Costco Job Applicant Background Check FCRA class action settlement.
The lawsuit is entitled Terrell v. Costco Wholesale Corporation, and is under review in the Washington Superior Court in and for King County.
Class members claim Costco did not use proper stand alone disclosure notices to obtain background reports about job applicants.
Costco denies any actions of wrong doing but have agreed to a $2,500,000 settlement in order to avoid further trial.
