A $180 million settlement has been reached in the class action lawsuit entitled In re: Optical Disk Drive Antitrust Litigation, aka Optical Disk Drive Indirect Purchaser Settlement.

Class members in the case allege that BenQ Corporation, BenQ America Corp., Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., Toshiba Corp., Toshiba Samsung Storage Technology Corp., Toshiba Samsung Storage Technology Corp. Korea, and Quanta Storage Inc. conspired to fix the prices of optical disk drives.
Who should file a claim?
Anyone in the states of Arizona, California, District of Columbia, Florida, Hawaii, Kansas, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, West Virginia, and Wisconsin, who purchased a computer with an internal optical disk drive, standalone optical disk driver for internal or external use from Apr. 1, 2003 to Dec. 31, 2008.
