Class members in the case claim that TransUnion credit reports included false records of civil judgments and/or tax liens.
Carolyn Clark filed Clark v. Trans Union LLC on June 30, 2015. Olga Anderson, Kim Breeden, and Brenda Walker filed Anderson v. Trans Union LLC on June 5, 2016.
Who should file a claim?
Anyone in the U.S. who requested and received a copy of their credit report from TransUnion between May 20, 2009 and March 23, 2018 that included a public record such as a bankruptcy judgment, or tax lien, or had credit report sent to a third party between the dates of July 5, 2014, and March 23, 2018, where it contained a tax lien or civil judgment that was inaccurately reported or did not belong to you.

Not only are you filing claims under penalty of perjury but you are also harming other eligible class members if you submit a fraudulent claim.

Proof of purchase required?
Class members need to include their full name, mailing address, date of birth and last four digits of their social security number. They must also provide a description of the public record and company name that took adverse action against them as well as the date it occurred. Evidence showing the date of the disposition of the reported lien or judgment and also the adverse action date. Class members also need to show that they disputed the inaccurate information that appeared on their TransUnion credit report and that TransUnion did not resolve the dispute in their favor and that they suffered negative actions within 60 days of the resolution.
