A $30 million settlement has been proposed in the class action lawsuit entitled Fowler v. Wells Fargo Bank NA, aka the Wells Fargo FHA Home Loan Interest Settlement.
Wells Fargo FHA Home Loan Interest Settlement
Class member in the case claim that Wells Fargo improperly charged them interest on their FHA insured mortgages and didn’t notify them properly regarding the collection of post-payment interest on the FHA loans they held.
Class members also contend that Wells Fargo charged them twice during refinancing of their FHA loans. Once by Wells Fargo and once by the new lender.

Who should file a claim?
Anyone in the U.S. who had an FHA insured loan from Jun. 1, 1994, to Jan. 20, 2015, where Wells Fargo, its agent, or its processor was the mortgagees. You must have had an FHA loan brought to zero, or Wells Fargo must have collected post-payment interest, or the borrower did not receive a payoff statement containing post-payment disclosure after a prepayment inquiry, request for payoff or tender of prepayment.
